Welcome to St. Ethelbert’s Catholic Primary School. We are very pleased to have this opportunity to welcome you to the school website and the Christian values under which our school flourishes.

The primary school journey is a very important step in the life of any child and their family. At St. Ethelbert’s we will make your child’s time here – happy, rewarding and creative.

As parents, you naturally want the very best for your child and we take that responsibility seriously. We have the highest expectations of all our children and staff. We are naturally extremely proud of the children’s achievements, effort, attitudes and the happy atmosphere that they nurture and create. Everyone at St. Ethelbert’s is special and is valued for the contribution that they make to the life of the school as well as the work that they do as individuals.

We have a very caring and committed staff who are always available to answer questions and discuss matters as they arise.

Above all, we believe that for education to be successful there needs to be a real partnership and mutual support between parents and school and we count on your co-operation in achieving this aim.

Introduction to our new Executive Headteacher.

Dear Parent/ Carers,

My name is Sue Collins and I have been the Executive Headteacher of St.Mildred’s Infant School and Bromstone Primary School since June 2014. Both schools are successful and are held in high regards by the communities they serve. I am passionate about ensuring all children enjoy school and have the opportunity to reach their potential and develop a love of learning.

Therefore when asked if I would support St.Ethelbert’s until a new Headteacher could be appointed I felt it was something both myself and the staff from St. Mildred’s and Bromstone could and should do.

Last week I spent some time getting to know the staff and finding out about the school. I spoke to children as I went round and they were enthusiastic and keen to talk.

I see this as a key opportunity for three of Thanet schools to be working together to provide the best possible learning opportunities for all our children.

I look forward to getting to getting to know the children and yourselves over the coming weeks.
